MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017 the song he released in 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was released by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached number 8 at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him in the following year. He also collaborated on a track with Noriel to record Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year released his sophomore album which was the chart-topping Dopamina. The singer appeared in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her smash streaming single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was raised in music-loving family. His father and brother are each musicians. According to him, music is a vital aspect of his daily life. In his early years, he learned how to play the ukulele, saxophone and piano. His first choice of career was becoming a veterinarian, his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons from one of the Cuban.
