Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. When she was a kid she attended her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was inspired to become an actor by the age of six. Over the course of several years, she attended the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. By the age of ten she had performed and taken the lead in various Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the movie adaptation from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theatre instructor. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times, she as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's first film appearance coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was the year's top grossing film, breaking records during the opening day as well as the first weekend. Critics were impressed with the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's acting "amazing". Later Emma was nominated for five prizes for her work in the film and was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a feature Film.
