Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. The music she grew up with was traditional Boleros from the past and classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. Her mother taught her to sing, however she began more intensive singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. In 2000, she relocated into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. The love she has for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
